News Bulletin – for parents/guardians of all children attending any YMCA camp program
Submitted on Jul 03, 2009
The Community Health Services Department requests the YMCA to monitor absenteeism within our recreational day camp programs throughout the summer. Surveillance of day camp absenteeism is a valuable tool for early detection of respiratory illnesses such as the H1N1 influenza virus in our community. Parents/Guardians of campers are asked to immediately inform camp management if any camper currently has or has had a flu-like illness in the 7 days prior to arrival such as fever, cough, sore throat, weaknesses, fatigue, muscle aches, stuffy/runny nose or headache. Click on the attached memo to learn more.
